Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn Split After Three Years: Read Her Statement

Back to the single life. Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn have split after three years together. The Olympic skier confirmed the news via Facebook on Sunday, May 3.

"After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship," Vonn wrote. "I will always cherish the memories that we've created together."

She continued: "Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart."

The golf pro, 39, and Vonn, 30, began dating after meeting at a charity event in 2012. "We immediately clicked," Vonn told Vogue's August 2013 issue. "It's amazing. Life changes very quickly, in a very positive way, if you let it."

The news of their breakup comes just one month after Vonn supported Woods at his Masters Preview Day in Augusta, Ga., on April 7. She brought along his daughter Sam, 7, and 6-year-old son Charlie, whom he shares with ex-wife Elin Nordegren.

This is Woods' first public relationship since his 2010 cheating scandal bombshell. Vonn quietly ended her four-year marriage to fellow skier Thomas Vonn in November 2011.
