Mohanlal Viswanathan Nair (born 21 May 1960), better known by his stage name Mohanlal, is an Indian actor, producer, singer, and writer who is best known for his work in Malayalam films. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest living actors in Indian cinema, and is renowned for his versatile and natural acting style.Despite the fact that Mohanlal had his acting debut in Thiranottam (1978), the film was not released at the time owing to censorship concerns; the picture was only released 25 years later in five cinemas.
