Barron Trump makes rare appearance with pretty in pink mum Melania

First Lady Melania Trump looked pretty in pink as she hosted her first Easter Egg Roll at the White House on Monday 17 April. The mum-of-one stepped out for the occasion donning a pastel, tea-length dress by Hervé Pierre, who designed her now-iconic inauguration ball gown. The 46-year-old accessorised her spring ensemble with matching pointed flats and styling her brunette tresses down with her signature blowout.

The first lady was a vision in pink for the White House Easter Egg Roll

The 139th annual White House Easter Egg Roll was a family affair for Melania and President Donald Trump. The couple's 11-year-old son Barron Trump made a rare appearance at the event, standing alongside his mother as she delivered remarks to the attendees. The first lady said: "Welcome to the White House. This is the first time that my husband and I are hosting this wonderful tradition."

After thanking staff members, who worked tirelessly to make sure that everyone would have a "memorable experience," Melania added: "I want to thank all the military with us today and all the military in this great nation and servicemen and servicewomen all around the world who are keeping us safe. As we renew this tradition, thank you for joining us. On behalf of the president and Barron we wish you a great fun and beautiful day."

Barron joined his parents at the White House celebration

Barron seemed at ease at the family event waving to the crowds. The young first son joined his parents decorating cards that will be sent to active duty military members. During the celebration, Melania read Kathie Lee Gifford’s children’s book to kids. The president’s wife told them: "I really like the book because it shows that we are all different, but we are all the same."

The first lady and her husband kicked off the egg roll race blowing their respective whistles. Participating in the historic event was President Trump’s oldest grandchild, Kai Trump. The nine-year-old’s parents Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr. were also present for the family's first Easter Egg Roll at the White House, along with Tiffany Trump and Eric Trump and his pregnant wife Lara Trump.

Melania reportedly did a lot of research on previous White House Egg Rolls. Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s communications director, told : "She wanted to get back to the tradition, so we're bringing back some traditional elements, like military bands, and focusing on the family itself."
