Candy Cartwright Drops Lawsuit Against Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle dealt with allegations during the #SpeakingOut movement from Samantha Tavel. He later came forward and admitted to infidelity, but he never sexually assaulted anyone. Lawsuits were filed as a result of that, and now Riddle doesn’t have to worry about that.

Candy Cartwright, aka Samantha Tavel, had a lawsuit against Matt Riddle in association with allegations of sexual assault which she came forward with during the #SpeakingOut movement. She had previously sued WWE, EVOLVE, and Gabe Sapolsky, but later dropped those suits. Now her lawsuit against Riddle has been dropped as well.

TMZ reports that it is unknown if any settlement took place. Cartwright’s attorney, John Chwarzynski, said, “The parties have put this in their past and are focused on the future.”

She previously sued for millions due to missed work after she was allegedly pulled from bookings with WWE and EVOLVE at Riddle’s request. Court documents show that Samantha Tavel dismissed her lawsuit against Matt Riddle and each side will take care of their own legal expenses.

Riddle has one less thing to worry about as he heads toward Money in the Bank. He is not the most likely to win the briefcase, but he’s also doesn’t have the worst odds.
